(“হচ্ছিল” বোঝাবে)

Rule:Subject+ Was/were +Verb এর present form এর সাথে ing যোগ+Others .

1. রাম ভাত খাচ্ছিল (এখানে খাওয়াটা   হচ্ছিল বোঝাচ্ছে )

~Ram was eating rice

  

(i)Assertive—

Subject+was/were +Verb এর present form এর সাথে ing যোগ+Others

Example  :

 1.তারা ইংরাজি পড়ছিল

 They were reading English.

2. আমি খবরের কাগজটি পড়ছিলাম -

I was reading the newspaper 

(ii)Interrogative--

 Was/were +Subject+Verb+ing + Others +?   

Example  : 

1. Were  they  reading English ?  

 2. Was I reading the newspaper? 

(iii) Negative--

 Subject + Was/were +not+Verb এর present form এর সাথে ing যোগ+ Others .  

Example: 

1.তারা ইংরাজি পড়ছিল না

 They were not reading English 

2. আমি খবরের কাগজ পড়ছিলাম না 

I was not reading the newspaper. 

 → Subject+ Was/were +Verb এর present form এর সাথে ing যোগ+Others .
